About

Informed by experience. Focused on what works.

Patchouli O’Donovan is a Canadian Red Cross–certified instructor with a BSc in Outdoor Education and Risk Management, bringing over a decade of experience in outdoor education, risk management, and social services across two continents.

After a workplace injury made previous roles unsustainable, she shifted her focus, returning to experiential, scenario-driven teaching grounded in confidence, competence, and real-world readiness.

Her goal is to improve the quality and accessibility of first aid training in Western Canada by replacing lecture-based courses, expanding access for rural communities, and establishing both a permanent training space and a mobile classroom to deliver high-quality, hands-on learning wherever it’s needed.

Patchouli is a Red Cross Training Partner and a certified instructor of the following Canadian Red Cross Courses:

  • Basic (Emergency), Intermediate (Standard) First Aid and Advanced First Aid

  • Marine First Aid and Marine Advanced First Aid

  • CPR A, B, C and AED

  • Basic Life Support with Oxygen Therapy and Airway Management
