Service Description
The blended Psychological First Aid (PFA) course combines flexible online learning with a full-day, instructor-led session to build practical skills for recognising stress, supporting others, and protecting your own well-being. Using the Red Cross Look–Listen–Link–Live model, you’ll learn how to respond to emotional distress, grief, conflict, or crisis without stepping outside your role or acting as a counsellor. The online module introduces key concepts and core ideas at your own pace. The online portion typically takes learners between 45 and 90 minutes to complete. The 1-day in-person session focuses on applying those skills through discussion, guided practice, and realistic scenarios, so you leave with tools you can actually use in workplaces, community settings, and daily life. Ideal for employees, supervisors, educators, volunteers, frontline staff, peer supporters, and anyone who wants a grounded, evidence-informed approach to supporting themselves and others during challenging moments. Certification: Canadian Red Cross Psychological First Aid – Blended Duration: Online self-paced module (Approximately 90 minutes) + 8.5 hours in-person instructor-led session Recommended Minimum Age: 16+
